MAKE YOUR OWN GLITTER POLISH

HI ALL.........
yesterday i was working on some design and for that I wanted a dark brown black glitter polish but you know this color is not easily available. So i made it at home and the result i got is awesome.

so here is what I did:

things u need:

  1. a cheap quality clear nail paint or top coat.
  2. glitter powder, different shapes of sparkles like heart, star etc.
  3. funnel made of paper(cone).

method:

first put paper or newspaper on your working area because working with glitter is always messy and switch off your fan.............now uncap the bottle of clear nail paint and keep its brush aside. Take the funnel and place it on the bottle like shown in the pic.

now put glitter into the funnel with the help of small spoon. You can use any thing craft glitter, glitter powder, different shapes of sparkles, confetti etc. you can also mix two colors or more to make it multicolor. if you want to give some color to the clear polish ( like NYX) use eye shadow glitter or any pigmented glitter. BUT REMEMBER USE ONLY CLEAR POLISHES WHICH HAS LITTLE METAL BALLS IN THEM or arrange them by extracting them from your old nail polishes. metal balls help in mixing of glitter well.

when you add glitter to the polish it will get settle down in the bottom.like shown in the pic.

don't panic just place the cap of your bottle tightly and shake it well.

TADA  YOUR GLITTER POLISH IS READY.............:)

now you can also add any sparkler to it like i added little hearts. also u can add as much glitter as u want . there is no hard and fast rule in it. if you want heavy glitter polish add more.

hope my hearts are visible to ( ahh! my photography skills) and i also made one more glitter polish using pink and golden craft glitters and also added dark blue confetti.

as i used craft glitters not pigmented glitters so i top coated self made glitter polish on regular polish.

And this cutie pie helps me to dry my nail paint...........isn't he is adorable....:)

thanks

  1. The monkey dryer is so cute! I have a question, I tried doing this once and it worked one time, the next day the glitter had all clumped up at the bottom of the bottle and had lost its shine. What can I do to stop it? Because I love making my own glitter polishes. :)
